Hady Wehbe is a successful social entrepreneur from Senegal. He is the founder of two multi-million dollar businesses at just 31 years old. One is a restaurant and the other a sports complex. However, after much success, he decided to step away to balance his personal life and help people from underserved communities. He believes that success is possible for everyone, and the richness comes from hard work. He believes that you need to work constantly on being better to succeed. We spoke to Hady Wehbe to help get some insights into his successful life.
Hady Wehbe:
“In 2012 I decided to continue my postgraduate studies in Spain. I was accepted for an MBA in Sports Management at Universidad Europea de Madrid, which is in partnership with Real Madrid. This was the first step in the pursuit of my dream of opening a football complex.
Before I achieved this dream, I founded a successful beachfront restaurant, Sharky’s, with my partner in Dekar. Sharky’s became real successful and changed my life forever. The potential of the restaurant was huge and the growth was incremental.
My vision with Sharky’s was to have a beachfront experience with burgers, sushi, pizzas, and healthy choices while watching the view on the beautiful ocean with surfers surfing in the background.
It was very successful from day one. However, this put a strain on me. I was working 15 hours a day. At this point money was not an issue for me, so I decided to hire additional staff to run the place, so I could take a break and enjoy life and concentrate on my dreams. All this hard work is really what helped me succeed in life, and I’m glad that I could work with such amazing people in my life.”
